Shop for Mom Enters its Eigth Year

Shop for Mom has come to represent that Christmas is officially on its way to CFVC. On December 6th, 2015, our friends at Hillside United Methodist Church set up “shop” at Hearthstone Landing for the eighth time! Shop for Mom allows the families in shelter and transitional housing a fun day of shopping in a special “shop” set up onsite. Santa cannot do all of the work himself, so the elves of Hillside UMC usher the children through the “shop” and help them pick out gifts for their moms. The children also made ornaments and family photos were taken. Christmas can be a tough time for many families here, but Shop for Mom ushers in the fun side of the holiday – families celebrating together and creating special memories. We thank Hillside UMC for their ongoing support through Shop for Mom.
