The PEACH Project (Providers Educating and Advocating for Change and Healing)

Cherokee County has an exciting new community initiated project, designed to bring information and services to victims through outreach at local medical offices. The mission of this project is to have a poster and/or safety cards posted and available in every participating doctor’s office in Cherokee County.  The idea is to place the material in the patient restrooms, one of the few places a victim is alone.  Doctor’s offices are a “safe” place.  Project advocate Amanda Beckmann says, “I believe educating physicians and their staff and making local resources available to them and their patients is a key component to breaking the cycle.  This project is one voice reaching the masses with the help of volunteers and compassionate providers.”
