Would you like to Support a Family?

What a delight it is for Cherokee Family Violence Center to be in such a caring and kind community. We have recently welcomed three new families into our Transitional Housing Program and we request your support to help them get settled in. Throughout the year CFVC typically welcomes between 20 – 25 families into our Transitional Housing Program. Our Transitional Housing Program assists survivors towards a safe path to permanent, affordable housing while providing on-site supportive services. In partnership with NuRock Development Corporation, CFVC is able to offer two, three, and four bedroom apartments in a gated community where survivors can reside for up to three years. When a family is creating a moving plan, the Family’s Advocate works with the family to create a registry with items they need and that will help them through the transition. (Please note, we use aliases to ensure the family’s confidentiality and their safety.)

If you would like to help some of our recent move ins, please see click here. We greatly appreciate your generosity and willingness to help these new families.
