The Joy of Giving
The children of Cherokee Family Violence Center recently took part in a heartwarming program coordinated by our friends from Cornerstone Community Church’s L.E.A.P.F.R.O.G. Ministry. According to L.E.A.P.F.R.O.G., “Christmas is the season for giving and since, ‘it is more blessed to give than to receive’ we thought that the children of Hearthstone Landing might enjoy preparing gifts for the Calvary Children’s Home in Smyrna, Georgia.” Every child that participate in the event drew a name of a child residing at Calvary Children’s Home, chose gloves and a hat to decorate, wrap and send and enclosed a special note for the recipient. The children enjoyed the creative activity and loved giving back to their community.

After completing their gifts, the group sang Christmas carols, enjoyed refreshments and listened to a story about the joy of giving. It was truly a special day for the children of our program. Thanks to Cornerstone Community Church and the L.E.A.P.F.R.O.G. Ministry for their ongoing support of our program and always finding a unique way to get involved at CFVC. Merry Christmas!
