Cherokee Family Violence Center is having a Jeep Raffle! CFVC continues their efforts to raise funds to support and promote safety for victims of domestic violence. Tickets are $25 each. The drawing was originally scheduled for  November 6th at 2:00 PM but CFVC has extended the deadline for the raffle through the holidays! Give your friends, family, and co-workers a chance to win! What a great stocking stuffer! The Drawing will be held on January 8th at 2PM at Cherokee Family Violence Center (100 Hearthstone Landing, Canton, GA 30114). For a chance to win a 2017 Jeep Wrangler or up to $20,000 in cash.  Also, you will be supporting Cherokee County’s domestic violence shelter and transitional housing program.

Can anyone purchase a ticket? Are there limitations?

You must be 18 years of age to participate and win. Federal and State laws restrict the sale of tickets to only those state or local residents who specifically meet the requirements as set forth in the applicable statutes and regulations.

How many tickets can I buy?

There is no limit on the number of tickets an individual or business may purchase.

Who will benefit from the ticket sales?

All net proceeds from the raffle benefit the Cherokee Family Violence Center in Canton, Georgia.

How much are the tickets?

Each ticket is $25.

Is my purchase tax-deductible?

No.

How many tickets will be sold?

A maximum of 4,000 tickets will be sold.

What if my method of payment for the ticket is invalid?

The prize will not be awarded and will be forfeited if the ticket was issued in exchange for a check returned for “insufficient funds” or for a credit card deemed “declined,” “invalid,” or “stolen.”

What will I win?

If 4,000 tickets are sold, the winner will be awarded a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4×4, 3.6L-V6, soft top. The grand prize is valued at over $31,000.00 or equivalent. The vehicle has been pre-selected and is available for display at select locations during the dates of the campaign. If the winner chooses, he or she instead may opt to receive $20,000 cash instead of the Wrangler.

When and where will the drawing take place?

The campaign will run through Nov. 6, 2016. At 2 p.m. Nov. 6, 2016, one ticket will be selected through a random drawing from all raffle tickets purchased. The drawing will take place at the Cherokee Family Violence Center, 100 Hearthstone Landing Canton, GA 30114.

Do I need to be present to win?

No. If the winner is not present during the drawing, the winner will be contacted via email, mail, or phone.

What if it is raining?
The drawing will take place rain or shine.

Who will draw the winning ticket?

A representative from Ed Voyles Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM Dealership, 789 Cobb Pkwy SE Marietta, GA 30060, will draw the winning ticket.

Are employees of Ed Voyles Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM Dealership eligible to win?

No.

Are employees or board members of the CFVC eligible to win?

Yes.

If I win, how do I claim the prize?

Proper identification must be presented to claim the prize.

Must I pay for anything if I win the Jeep?

Taxes, title, license and doc fees will be the responsibility of the winner. The winner is subject to all Federal and State income taxes and any other taxes payable due to acceptance of the prize and the law, regulations, procedures, rules and directives applicable to raffles. Prize shall not be transferred until all legal requirements have been met. The IRS and the Georgia Department of Revenue require that taxes be withheld upon acceptance and before Ed Voyles Dealership may release the prize to the winner. The Georgia amount is based on 6% state income tax. Georgia tax will be paid and reported regardless of the winner’s state of residence. The winner will be required to pay taxes to Ed Voyles Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM. The winner will receive a W2-G to report the award as income for the tax year 2016 and to claim as withholding the amounts paid. The winner is encouraged to consult a tax professional.

Is financing available?

You will need to work with a representative from Ed Voyles Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM Dealership, 789 Cobb Pkwy SE Marietta, GA 30060 to determine your financing options.

Must I participate in media events if I win?

Acceptance of the prize is permission for the Cherokee Family Violence Center, Ed Voyles Dealership and the media to use the name, picture, video image, and relevant quotes of the winner. The winner must agree that the prize will not be used for further fundraising.

What are my odds of winning?

Odds of winning are based on the number of tickets purchased. A maximum of 4,000 tickets will be available for sale. All participants have an equal opportunity to win.

What happens if not all tickets are sold?

The Cherokee Family Violence Center reserves the right to revise the prize, based on ticket sales.

• If 4,000 tickets are sold, the winner will receive the Jeep Wrangler or equivalent or $20,000 cash.
• If 3000-3999 tickets are sold, payout will be $15,000 cash.
• If 2,000-2,999 tickets are sold, payout will be $10,000 cash.
• If less than 2,000 tickets are sold, the raffle will remain open until such time that 2,000 tickets are sold. At that point, the drawing will take place and payout will be $10,000 cash.

Per Jeep Raffle Rules and Regulations, the drawing can only take place once we have met the goal.
