CFVC Receives HopeLine Phones from Verizon

CFVC is pleased to announce that Verizon recently awarded CFVC twenty new cells phones for use by the victims of Domestic Violence that we serve.  Each HopeLine phone has 3,000 minutes and 9,000 text messages that are available for use within a 1-year period or until they are used up, whichever occurs first.  Wireless phones and technology serve as a vital link for all of us. They’re also an especially safe and reliable way for Domestic Violence victims and survivors to reach emergency or support services in times of crisis and stay connected with employers, family and friends.

Verizon is committed to helping the nearly one in four women, one in seven men and more than three million children in the United States affected by Domestic Violence.  They are doing their part to end this epidemic by collecting no-longer-used wireless phones and accessories and turning them into support for Domestic Violence organizations nationwide.  Through HopeLine, they have donated hundreds of thousands of phones and awarded millions of dollars in cash grants to partner agencies.  You can read more about the HopeLine program on their website.  Thank you Verizon for helping CFVC to keep more victims safe.
