29 years ago today, on April 17, 1986 Cherokee Family Violence Center went live with a conference at what is now known as Reinhardt University.

In these 29 years, CFVC has accomplished a great deal for victims of intimate partner violence in Cherokee County. From offering support groups for victims to building a 72 apartment transitional housing facility, to providing legal advocacy for victims in attaining protective orders, to last year’s launch of the statewide Spanish hotline, CFVC has continued to grow its services to better serve victims.

We are so thankful to our incredible supporters, from different agencies, law enforcement, our award winning Cherokee County DV Task Force, to our fantastic staff, board and volunteers — CFVC would not be able to help victims rebuild their lives free of violence without your tremendous support!

Us here at CFVC hope you will find it in your hearts to give a financial gift of any size to celebrate this incredible anniversary. Of course, if you cannot give due your financial situation, please share this page on your social media, to spread the word about CFVC’s amazing services.

We look forward to entering our 30th year with the same tremendous support from the amazing community partners who make our work of helping victims of intimate partner violence possible!
