CFVC is Hiring: Group Facilitator
The Cherokee Family Violence Center (CFVC) in Canton, GA is one of the largest transitional housing programs dedicated to serving victims of domestic and intimate partner violence in the country. We are currently searching for a group facilitator to work with our Children’s Programs:
- CFVC is interested in contracting with currently licensed, Master’s level (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LAPC) clinicians to moderate a 1-hour, weekly art therapy support group for primary and secondary youth victims of domestic violence and a 1-hour bullying group for girls. A combination of experience and education will be considered for applicants who have not yet completed a Master’s program in an applicable field.
- The group will take place on Tuesday nights at 7PM at the main office of CFVC in Canton, Georgia.
- Responsibilities will include:
o Organizing group activities,
o Obtaining appropriate handouts/materials,
o Setting up a conversation plan/curriculum,
o Completing and submitting attendance reports to the Child Advocate,
o Working with co-facilitators,
o Incorporation of knowledge of the effects of domestic violence, crisis, and trauma on children and families
