Throughout the year CFVC typically welcomes between 20 – 25 families into our Transitional Housing Program. Our Transitional Housing Program assists survivors towards a safe path to permanent, affordable housing while providing on-site supportive services. In partnership with NuRock Development Corporation, CFVC is able to offer two, three, and four bedroom apartments in a gated community where survivors can reside for up to three years. When a family is creating a moving plan, the Family’s Advocate works with the family to create a registry with items they need and that will help them settle in. (Please note, we use aliases to ensure the family’s confidentiality and their safety.)

If you would like to help some of our recent move ins, please see below. We greatly appreciate your generosity and willingness to help these new families.

Keisha’s Family

A new family who just moved in at the end of July.  This family consists of a 12 year old boy, 8 year old girl, 5 year old boy, a sweet 10 month old boy, and their awesome mother.  She and her advocate have created a registry of things they are lacking.  If you can, please help this family get the items they need to make their apartment feel more like home.

Leigh’s Family

Leigh has two precious sons who are three and one. Mom has worked hard to get the furniture for their apartment but needs many other household items for day to day. I know we have an awesome community of support so let’s show this family what we can do!

Katelyn’s Family

Katelyn has a 9 year old, a 4 year old, and 8 month old twins (all girls). They entered our program with one king size bed and a play pen. We believe they deserve so much more. Let’s show them they have a support system here! The advocate working with this new family has created a house warming registry with them.
