Teresa Millsaps, Community Specialist
Teresa Millsaps has been employed at Cherokee Family Violence Center since 1995. Prior to her employment she completed her internship with CFVC working with children both in shelter and the community. She began her advocacy with victims of domestic violence in 1992 by volunteering on the hotline. Teresa has over 20 years experience providing advocacy for victims of domestic violence and their children and is regularly utilized as an expert witness in legal proceedings. She is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in Public and Social Services. She is passionate about the safety and well being of victims in their relationships and has continued her education in trauma, motivational interviewing, and client centered services. Teresa enjoys spending time with her four children and eight grandchildren and enjoys hiking with her family, traveling and the outdoors in her spare time.
