We envision a world free of domestic violence and started by taking a small step in our own community of Cherokee County, Georgia. Cherokee County is a beautiful thriving community. We have wonderful friends and neighbors who are a major part of what makes life so good. Unfortunately, the statistics on Domestic Violence indicate that one third of these cherished friends, who are women, will at some point be victims of domestic violence. These are our daughters, our sisters, our mothers, our neighbors and our co-workers. This fact, and the need to alleviate the problems associated with domestic violence, is what prompted the founding of the Cherokee Family Violence Center (CFVC). We have fought for this community and the victims of domestic violence since 1984 by:
- Providing around-the-clock emergency assistance
- Offering safety
- Providing shelter and long-term supportive housing
- Counseling and support groups
- Educating the public and legal advocacy
As a non-profit organization, we rely on the aid of our community. Won’t you join us to liberate those victimized by domestic violence? By partnering together we can transform lives because…
Together we can HELP. Together we can HOPE. Together we can HEAL.
